The Toyota Landcruiser line includes a number of 4wd automobiles which were built through the Toyota Motor Corporation The first model started rise in 1951 and joined production in 1954 then named the Toyota jeep BJ.Toyota Land cruiser's are extremely popular because of their reliability and lengthy existence spans.

The 20 Series:

In 1955 Toyota announced a modified edition known as the 20 series. It had been designed more towards ordinary people compared to military for export reasons. The inside is made much more comfortable by moving the engine forward 120mm. In 1958 the initial station wagon Landcruiser was introduced.

The 40 Series:

In 1960 the 20 series got upgrading towards the 40 series with production changes leading to purchasing new steel presses in the industrial facilities. The 50 Series:

In 1967 producing the FJ55 form of the Landcruiser started. It was a 4 door estate version which was based o the 40 series drive train. This model grew to become referred to as "the moose" or even the "iron pig" since it's weight and power were formidable in those days.

The 60 Series: (Samurai)

This model was offered by 1981 through 1987. It had been a front engine configuration with four doorways which permitted seating which is between 5 to 7 travellers. In 1980 the very first 60 series Landcruiser was introduced.In 1985 direct injection engines and turbo billed diesels were obtainable in 1988 the initial gas engine was upgraded to some 4 litre engine.

The 70 Series:

It had been 1984 when Toyota launched its first 70 number of the road. In 1990 new generation diesel engines were introduced In 1993 a 24 valve 4.5 litre six cylinder gas engine was put in 1999 Toyota made several enhancements towards the 70 series. From lengthened rear leaf springs to improve comfort to some coil spring suspension for that solid front axle. In 2007 Toyota launched its first turbo diesel v8 engine

The 80 Series: (Lexus LX450/Toyota Autana)

In 1990 the 80 series was initially introduced, it changed the 60 series. In 1995 there is an inclusion of motorists and passenger side air bags In 1997 there is a restricted run of Landcruiser 80's promoted like a "collector's edition" 2008 saw the finish from the Landcruiser 80 line

The 90 series (Prado)

In 1996 Toyota added the Prado towards the Landcruiser line

In 1998 Toyota released the 100 series to exchange the then 8 years old 80 series.

The 200 Series: (Lexus LX570)

The 200 series was released in 2008
